Amy Winehouse: Back To Black

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse, now there's a name you won't have been able to avoid in 2007. Apart from the tabloid circus surrounding her, at the heart is her beautiful album Back To Black.

To cap off an incredible year which has seen Amy scoop awards aplenty, wow crowds with her outrageous talent and sell bucketloads of her second album, Amy has released a new edition of Back To Black, including 8 new songs, plus a documentary titled, I Told You I Was Trouble, charting her eventful rise to fame.

To see for yourself why Amy Winehouse deserves such attention, we've got a twenty-five minute gig Amy played for us back in 2006 as part of our Winter Warmer concert. Amy was on phenomenal form, playing Tears Dry On Their Own, He Can Hold Her, Back To Black, Love Is a Losing Game, You Know I'm No Good, Me And Mr. Jones and Rehab from Back To Black with her fantastic full backing band, re-creating the Motown, soul and jazz-influenced sounds of the Mark Ronson/Salaam Remi-produced album.

Amy Winehouse

Since Amy Winehouse's debut album Frank was released in 2003, the young Amy Winehouse has gone from a sultry buxom starlet to a beehived bombshell, becoming one of the most papped celebs, providing high-octane glamour and high drama in equal measures. We take a look at pictures of Amy from her early stardom to the present day to see how the girl from Southgate has become a musical icon and tabloid superstar.

The deluxe editions of Back To Black and the documentary I Told You I Was Trouble: Live In London are out now. Check back in a few days when we've got more treats: the promo videos for Love Is a Losing Game and Back To Black.
