AOL Music (11:11:10): Hi Andrea - how are you? Thanks for joining us this morning.
AndreaCorr_07 (11:11:15): Hi, I'm great thank you.
AOL Music (11:12:26): Stepping out of such a successful band - exciting/ scary?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:13:01): I went through all the emotions - it's both exciting and scary. Even going into record was nerve-wracking, I was well out of my comfort zone. I'd written a lot of songs, just writing for pleasure on my piano, but I had no plans for album. I was nervous again playing songs live to Nellee [Hooper, her producer], but I couldn't be happier with the end result.
AOL Music (11:13:24): Tell us about Shame On You - a light sound but heavy message
AndreaCorr_07 (11:14:12): It started with me reading Birdsong, about the First World War by Sebastian Faulks, closed the book and immediately saw comparisons with today. It's just so sad seeing pictures of young men and women going out to war. It's really from the viewpoint of those that are left behind, the children that aren't born, the wives, the families and so on. I didn't sit down to write an anti-war song, but through the combination of that historical look and its relevance to today it just came about.
AOL Music (11:14:35): What was the best part of making the album Ten Feet High?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:15:22): We had such a great time, Nellee will be a friend for life. He only committed to doing four songs original, so I was delighted to keep him for all of them, I only wanted one producer. We became like a little family, that was the best part, we all became so excited about the album as we recorded it in London.
AOL Music (11:15:57): Any plans to play live?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:17:32): I'm just seeing how things go, I'd be exited to take it out live, I'm playing some of the songs acoustically on the radio and on TV. We'll see, I haven't got round to thinking about it yet.
AOL Music (11:17:57): What role did [executive producer] Bono have?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:19:02): He brought me and Nellee together. Bono, myself and bunch of folks hang around together in Dublin, play each other music. I played them my songs and Bono said that Nellee would be the perfect producer and made the call. Nellee took the call and agreed. I was thrilled - I mean he worked on Bjork's debut album, and the production on that is so amazing.
AOL Music (11:19:21): Any more plans for acting - tell us about Knife Edge?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:20:42): Such a shame, I haven't gotten to make it [Knife Edge] - I was supposed to make that film and it came at a perfect time, a perfect window as I'd finished the album but at the last minute it hit a financial blip and was postponed. Now they've managed to raise the money but I'm busy. I try to do the acting on the quiet and on a per project basis, I don't really want to be seen as a singer turned actress, though I really enjoy it.
AOL Music (11:20:07): Are you a big Squeeze fan, covering Take Me I'm Yours for the album?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:21:18): I love Squeeze - though funnily I hadn't heard that song. Nellee came into the studio one day saying 'I think we should think about doing a cover' but I wasn't sure. We started messing about, looking through songs, looking through the vinyl (we did no work that day!) and we came across this and it's a perfect musical friend for Hello Boys on the album.
AOL Music (11:22:00): Are you going to any of this year's music festivals - working or watching?
AndreaCorr_07 (11:23:13): No, sadly, I do want to go to Wireless though!
