Katie Melua

Since Katie Melua performed for us last year, her session quickly became the most watched on AOL.

This isn't surprising when you consider that Katie's debut album, Call Off The Search, is six times platinum and her current record, Piece By Piece, has sold 1.2 million copies in Britain, making her the best-selling female artist in the country, and three million worldwide.

The phenomenal success of debut single The Closest Thing To Crazy, championed by Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2, exposed Katie to an enormous audience who have clearly taken her to their hearts.

Katie told us the novelty hasn't worn off yet: "I don’t think that will ever fade; it's incredible to know that people will actually go out and buy your work, and that’s a pretty special feeling."

Katie and her band have just returned from a three-month tour of North America, and touring has seen them grow in stature during their live performances. Says Katie: "I am so proud of every member of the band, who have gone from strength to strength on the tour this year."

Miss Melua's popularity seems to know no bounds - a concert has just been announced for Wembley Arena, her biggest show so far, as well as the 'deepest gig in the world' - at an oil rig near Norway!

We've got a whole host of intimate session tracks, both old and new, for your viewing and listening pleasure, including the latest single It's Only Pain, Nine Million Bicycles and everyone's favourite, The Closest Thing To Crazy. Let the Melua magic commence...
