The Enemy
Burning with the fire of an ambitious British rock band, The Enemy have made a lot of friends with their debut album We'll Live And Die In These Towns.
From their base in Coventry, The Enemy have been gaining ground across the UK by the sheer virtue of good songs and hard graft. We caught them in London to record an exclusive full-length session with six tracks. They may have started after a few pints and a long conversation but The Enemy really have something to say now.
The trio has built up a body of work in fairly short order with song such as Away From Here written quickly with the lyrics composed by Tom when he was working and the tune put together in the car on the way to rehearsals!
Surrounded by friends, The Enemy has toured the UK extensively and their live show is already a pretty polished affair. A full UK tour later this year will impress both those that are new to the band and those that have seen them before. And, it's where all the hard work is worth it, "When you have a class gig it's the best feeling in the world and you look out you see people singing your songs it's been a good gig you can't beat that feeling," says Tom.
40 Days And 40 Nights features in the session and is a core piece of furniture for the band as it was the firsts song they wrote together and for Andy was how he started to learn to play the bass - he's had plenty of practice since then as you can tell, though he says he still can't play.
So, if you like your music straight up with no twist then you'll like the honest and lean rock and roll of The Enemy - enjoy!
